Fall PartyHere’s the skinny.  Aspen‘s Wheeler Opera House and Radio Boardshop are hosting a party and fashion show happening tomorrow night, Monday, November 12th. This fun fall party includes art, drinks, music and apparently a pretty sweet photobooth with fun props.  What else were you going to do on a Monday?

The only deal is that you have to “like” the Wheeler Opera House, which you do anyway, so that’s easy.  After RSVPing on their page the first 200 guests are invited to kick their week off on the right foot.  You must RSVP here and “like” the Wheeler Opera House Facebook page as the party is limited to first 200 guests. Doors at 8, fashion show at 9.  And the RSVP list is at 157 last we checked, so get moving!

Get excited to see what Radio is stocking the shelves with this Winter! They are showcasing Streetwear, Outerwear, Footwear, and Accessories.

Check out some favorite local artist’s and what they’ve been working on.  Also, the Wheeler will have fun minute to win-it games and free Aspen Brewing Company beer until the keg is gone!

Without further delay, we’ll see you there!

Aspen is home to world-class skiing, so there might be a slight advantage to growing up here on skis, BUT the fact remains, we love our skiing and our skiers.  So much so, in fact, that if there’s a chance to support a local athlete, we’ll jump at the chance and have a party just to keep things in line with our way of life .

Wiley MapleTonight at 6:30pm at the Wheeler Opera House there will be a benefit in honor of local skier Wiley Maple.  Mike Marolt and Montezuma Basin Productions present the Aspen theatrical premier screening of Gigantic Pictures film, Deep Winter, but not before having a little pre-screening fete first.

Wiley is the first Aspenite in many years to participate on the World Cup Downhill circuit.  The proceeds of the benefit will help cover Wiley’s US Ski Team travel and training costs for the 2013 ski racing season.  Silent auction items will feature original art by Wiley, authentic US Ski team apparel, Oakley and Strafe products as well many other products and gift certificates donated by local businesses. The event includes a pre-screening party, a silent auction and ski film, so consider your Friday night plans set.

With ski season just two weeks away, there’s no harm in getting pumped up with a party and a movie all in honor of SKIING!  Ticket Prices are just $15.00 for General Admission.

Ski season is just three weeks away here in Aspen.  Everyone is as excited as ever for another promising ski season and a few places have even gone so far as to refresh their look.  Yep, a few of Aspen’s most well-known hotels have received a little facelift (yeah we said it) just in time for ski season.HJ SUmmer

The Hotel Jerome, one of Aspen’s oldest and dearest resorts, will reopen in December to unveil an updated interior, along with a state of the art spa for guests to enjoy when they’re off the slopes.  A reinvented restaurant will also accompany the facelift and is conceived as an updated all-American grill under the direction of Executive chef Rob Zack.

The Sky Hotel and St. Regis have also received a few new design updates in their guest rooms, as well as, overall esthetic.  The St. Regis welcomed the Chef’s Club this summer at the FOOD & WINE CLASSIC and is proud to debut it to winter guests too.  The Little Nell will be revealing its new restaurant on Thanksgiving Day.  Gone are the days of Montagna and here to stay is Element 47 – silver on the periodic table.  Hotel Jerome

Sometimes a little lift here and a little tuck there goes a long way.  We hope you look forward to seeing some of your favorites after their makeover!
