Food & Wine Classic in AspenThis year marks the 30th Anniversary of the Food & Wine Classic in Aspen!  Food & Wine has long been a summer kick off party for Aspen and has grown in popularity over the years.  We’d like to think it’s helped to put foodies on the map.  This year includes the same plethora of culinary events, but also boasts a few new events to celebrate thirty years of food, wine and fun.

The 5K Charity Run with Bobby Flay starts off Friday, June 15th at Rio Grande Park at 6:30 a.m.   Registration for the run closes today at midnight so sign up early.  The cost is $30 for the race only or $225 for “Run with the Chefs.”  This year marks the 5th anniversary of FOOD & WINE’s charity initiative, Grow for Good, which supports local and sustainable agriculture. To celebrate this achievement Bobby Flay decided to host a 5K Charity Run benefitting Wholesome Wave.

The Late-Night Dessert Bash hosted by Gail Simmons will be Friday June 15, 2012 at the historic Hotel Jerome and starts at 10pm.
